<description>I have developed a new personal budgeting software called &#039;3D Budget&#039; (http://www.3dbudget.com). It is currently in BETA testing stage and I am offering FREE permanent licenses to anybody who helps test it.

3D Budget has patented (patent pending) methodology for reconciling your budget assumptions with your real finances. It integrates three dimensions of your finances (current funds, current debt, and budget assumptions), and through this integration it provides the ability to balance your budget with your actual spending. 3D Budget has a simple user friendly tool for managing your budget categories, and it has tools for tracking expenses in all of your bank and cash accounts, but the most unique element of the tool is the Reconciliation functionality which users run on a monthly or quarterly basis to confirm that the budget is valid. 3D Budget is one of the only budgeting tools that can truly check to make sure you are accounting for all expenses.

I have used the 3D Budget methodology for my own personal budgeting for the last eight years. Now I am offering this proven tool to the public. It has worked so well for me, that I can&#039;t keep it to myself any longer. I am sure many other people could benefit from the structure and validation it provides. Please go to my new website at www.3dbudget.com to try out the solution.

<description>I agree that personal budget management software can be a really helpful tool, but it&#039;s easy to get caught up in statistics. I guess it&#039;s a bridge too far for most people. It&#039;s okay to take a look at your monthly expenses and evaluate from time to time, but there is much more to life. In my experience, just a few practical tips that are easy to incorporate in your daily life suffice to keep most people&#039;s budget under control.

<description>We actually still use Excel for a few custom things that Quicken can&#039;t do for us. But I actually used to download all of our bank transactions as a .csv file and created a macro to format it into a checkbook register. It took sooooooooo long every time!

<description>Ah, yes...Excel. I still know some people using it. I suppose it&#039;s a matter of deciding what works best for the person, but I do think the software will save more time and energy as you mentioned.</description>

<description>Before purchasing Quicken a few years ago, I used to do everything in Excel. I had my checkbook register, budget, debt snowball calculator, loan amortization schedule, etc all in various spreadsheets.

Quicken has saved me so much time and energy! I think using software is a must for the categories, customized reports and budget tracking.
