I recently had the opportunity to interview Chuck Bentley, CEO of Crown Financial Ministries, about his new book: The Root of Riches. Chuck took time out of his schedule to openly share about the book and his purpose for writing it.
During the interview Chuck told me he wrote the book to help people understand what it means to be rich from a biblical perspective and to challenge how people think about money. People can discover that inside their hearts is the answer to money problems and producing good fruit in their lives. He wants people to think deeply about this subject and really examine their hearts, where our root system starts. He says, “we are rich because of what we love, not because of what we own!”
Chuck begins the book by sharing the story of his own personal struggle in learning the definition of true riches. He reminds us he’s not a an example of how people should think about money, but shares his personal story hoping that people can learn form his journey and see how God can transform their lives. God has certainly worked in Chuck’s life. He is passionate about the mission of Crown which is to help people apply God’s principles to their lives so they can know Christ more intimately and be more free to be used for God’s purposes.
