Friday Finance Roundup: Caring for Employees

I subscribe to the Crown Finanical Ministries Daily Devotion via my Google RSS feed reader.  Starting this week, I’m going to pick my favorite devotion of the week and include here in the roundup.  I received permission from Crown to post each devotion as an aside.

Bible and money devotion

Employee’s CareSow caring into employees and you will reap loyalty. Sow disinterest and you will reap distrust.  “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but in humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself.” (Philippians 2:3 NASB).

Pressures of cost, time and the desire to generate revenue often drive company leadership into selfish ambition.  Unfortunately, this becomes a self-focused pursuit rather than caring and paying attention to the needs of the company’s most valuable asset, the employees.  Business is business and there will always be cost and time pressures as well as revenue goals.  But, by taking time out to help people on the team and treat them as people (not resources) will utlimately propel a company into the success it desires.  Pay attention to the nees of your people!
