Manage Your Bills with Manilla

I recently signed up for Manilla and am now happily enjoying one secure place to view my bills, statements and any notices from all my providers.  Manilla provides automatic reminders to let me know when my bills are due or even when reward points are about to expire.  I can also set custom email or text alerts.

How much does Manilla cost?

It’s free!  Providers are paying Manilla a fee for their mail to be delivered through Manilla to customers.  So, companies save money because they can stop printing and sending regular mail.

What providers are available through Manilla?

Manilla states on their website that they now have more than 3000 providers.  This includes all the major cell phone carriers, cable, telecom and satellite providers.  I’ve already linked my cell phone, satellite, mortgage, electric and several travel and rewards accounts with Manilla.

Is Manilla secure?

Manilla states they take security seriously.  Here’s what they say on their website:

Manilla uses multiple levels of physical security including biometric validation as well as SSL 128-bit encryption.  Practices are monitored and verified by TRUSTe, Verisign, McAfee and other security agencies.

Mobile Apps

Another nice feature of Manilla is the ability to access my account via my iPhone.  Manilla is also available for the Android.  So, you can see when bills are due on your phone and always have access to your information.  No passwords are stored on your mobile device so you’re still protected even if you lose your phone.

Bill Payment

Manilla doesn’t provide the ability to pay your bills directly on their website.  Instead they provide a link through to your providers’ websites to pay your bills.  You can also set up the auto login feature which gives you access to some linked accounts without entering a password, making it faster and easier to manage your accounts.

Keep in mind, Manilla is a tool to help you organize your bills and provide the convenience of managing your accounts all from one place.  It’s not budgeting software so you can’t create a budget or track spending.  Overall, I find the tool very handy and like the convenience of accessing bills and statements via my iPhone.  It will definitely help me to manage bills and travel and rewards accounts better.
