One Money Design Week in Review – A Great Vacation

email

What a great week!  I’ve enjoyed being on vacation which has allowed me to spend time with my family and do a lot I’ve wanted to do with the One Money Design website for a while now.  Special thanks to the new visitors and returning readers this week.

New at One Money Design

  • One Money Design got a new website design and upgrade to my blogging software.  Let me know what you think.  I’m considering doing some unique graphics in the header so please let me know if you know anyone who does this type of work.
  • I’m experimenting with a new type of post I called QuickPost which is similar to a Twitter message, but a little bit longer.  With QuickPosts I hope to share quick tidbits of interesting personal finance information, news or One Money Design announcements.  I haven’t decided how often or to what extent they will be used, but expect some experimenting over the next few weeks.
  • Personal Finance Round Up

  • You can now sign up for Money Map Coaching at One Money Design under the financial help section.
  • The Week in Review post is something new for me.  Friday seems like a good day for it.  We’ll see how it goes.

One Money Design Posts

  • I managed to complete articles 4, 5 and 6 of the “Baby Step and Money Map Dance” series in which I compare these two approaches for setting financial priorities.
  • I posted about Cash for Clunkers and how it’s interestingly stimulating other areas of the economy.
  • My article, “Manage Money By Living From Heaven Backwards” was a guest post at Bible Money Matters.
  • I posted an article about credit card balance transfer offers and how these can lead one into dangerous territory if not careful.

Articles I enjoyed reading

In Personal Finance News

  • According to Yahoo Finance the senate approved a $2 billion dollar increase to keep the Cash for Clunkers program fueled.

Upcoming posts I’m thinking about

  • I’m going to round out the Baby Step and Money Map Dance next week with the 7th and final article.  Stay tuned for this article as I plan to do a summary of both approaches and discuss the ultimate reward in using them.
  • I’m thinking of writing an article about financial disobedience and why we continually ignore God’s sound financial advice.
  • I’m still planning on doing something on Mint.  I hear about so many using it that I feel I need to investigate, learn and share my thoughts on it as a money management tool.
  • I’d like to share about an incorrect charge we received for a medical bill last year and what we did to resolve it.

Did you read other posts this week you think are worth mentioning?  If so, please include them in the comments section.
