One Money Design Weekly Roundup: Blogger Community Edition

Personal finance blog community

This week, I’m grateful for some new personal finance blogging relationships.  I’ve found the personal finance blogging community to be quite open, welcoming and helpful to readers and fellow bloggers.  And isn’t the community of readers and bloggers what blogging is all about?  I think so.

For instance, I recently was able to connect with another Christian finance blogger, and financial planner, John Gay.  I came across his blog on the Christian PF links page.  And how amazed I was to find out John lives in the same city as me.  He has his own financial planning company, Frisco Financial Planning and personal finance blog.   Brought together by a common interest in personal finance  and blogging we were able to meet in person this week.  Now that’s community!

One Money Design Announcements

I’ve added a scripture of the week in my sidebar this week under the Bible and Money section.  Each Sunday, which I think is an appropriate day, I’ll add a new scripture of the week and write a post about what it says to me.   I’m still determining how to add a scripture of the week, or devotional to the blog each week.  I’m experimenting with different options such as the Crown Daily Devotional.

In the spirit of my post, Ideas to Keep Your Focus on Biblical Financial Principles, I’m going to take the scripture of the week a step further and write it on a note card it.  This will become my financial scripture of focus each week and help me stay closer to God’s word on money.  Will you join me?
