The Great Recovery is a movement to change our country and economy one person at a time. Dave says we can’t depend on the government to fix our problems and as Christians our hope should be in God.  He tells people God’s principles for managing money work.    The Great Recovery movement starts with you and learning and applying God’s principles of stewardship to your life.

He questions what would happen if people started following God’s way for managing money.  People would saved more, give more, get out of debt, etc.  Their lives would change.  What would happen if communities did the same?  Communities and cities would change. What would happen if the movement spread throughout our country?  Our economy would change!  The change starts with you and me and how we manage God’s money as faithful stewards.

Dave is asking people to join the movement and share it with others in conversations, Facebook, Twitter, etc.   Here is the commitment-

This great nation can recover. I believe it will happen from the bottom up, one family at a time. I commit to make sure my family is equipped to do our part by educating ourselves on God’s way of handling money, living responsibly, saving for the future and giving to others.

I’m looking forward to my continued work here at One Money Design of educating people about stewardship and managing money God’s way.  I’ll also continue work as a Crown Money Map Coach to help people learn Biblical principles and practical tips for managing money.  Although I haven’t done this much lately, I’ve recently felt God asking me to recommit to this work.  Finally, I’m excited for my wife and I to refocus our efforts at home on God and managing wisely the resources in which he’s blessed us.

I knew Dave Ramsey was a Christian, but I I’ve never heard him talk so openly about managing money God’s way.  In fact, I feel like God was speaking through him during this kick – off event.  I believe he is listening closely to what God is telling him he needs to do in starting this movement for people to find financial peace through God’s financial principles and to ultimately refocus our attention on God as our source for hope.
