Have you ever felt like you’ve done well to achieve big financial milestones such as getting out of debt, maxing out your 401k contributions, or even saving up several months in your emergency savings?
These are fantastic milestones to achieve, but perhaps you’re just quite satisfied with not overspending on your budget last month, or happy you avoided impulse buying. These accomplishments are equally as important. For example, without them, you’d never be able to max out your 40k contributions.
Yes, through much of our effort and strength we can accomplish much. But I’m convinced our effort and strength won’t produce the long term results we desire. We need more. We need a more solid foundation than that of the imperfect man or woman.
By building a solid foundation, I’m referring to knowing and understanding what the Bible has to say about money. Today I’m announcing a new series that will focus on the Bible and Money and opening this area to God in your life.
The series will cover 6 topics that are typically covered in Money Map Coaching sessions. My plan is to do a post on each topic for the next 6 Sundays that will cover Biblical financial principles associated with each topic and also provide practical money management tips.
Keep in mind the series certainly won’t replace the experience you would get in working with a Money Map coach for your personal situation. However, it will provide an opportunity for you to expand or refresh your knowledge in these areas.
With each post I will provide a downloadable file you can save or print as a report (approximately 1 page) on these important areas. You can keep the report in your Bible, or in a place in which you can reflect upon when needed. It’s also a great for sharing with others.
Click here to have each post delivered directly to your inbox each week.
